Good Morning All: Is it possible to connect both DATA and CAT interfaces to one laptop? The transceiver is a Yaesu FT-897D.
I can receive satellite telemetry following a path from the DATA port to TNC to laptop serial interface.
Where do I make the CAT connection to control doppler shift?
Seems like a dumb question but, can DATA and CAT operations really be done simultaneously???

I am using the Rig Blaster Plug and Play to connect to the data and the cat interface. The Plug and Play connects to your USB interface and simulates a com port. Then you connect the cat interface to the rig blaster using the optional cable. All in all its a $110 investment.

It should certainly be possible if you add a 2nd serial port... you could go with either a PCMCIA serial card, or a USB serial adapter.
