The AMSAT-VK web site is still there but the AMSAT-NA website quotes a different address that doesn't seem to work, try instead
AMSAT-Australia http://www.amsat-vk.org/
Also the OZsat Group http://www.ozsatgroup.info/

It's still there, but not as active as their EU or NA counterparts. Membership is also a lot more vague and nebulous. However, they do run a monthly net on Echolink on the second Sunday of the month on the *AMSAT* conference. I think the time is either 0400z or 0500z. I'd have to dig up a copy of AR for the net details. I tend to keep forgetting the net, and Sunday afternoons is usually inconvenient for me in any case. My best windows are in the morning. Years ago, I used to participate in their HF net from time to time, which still runs as the "unofficial" HF net (0900z I think) on the same Sunday as the Echolink net.

G'day Andrew, We still meet once a month on Echolink with Graham as coordinator and also some meet on HF as well. As Robin said contact Graham at : vk5agr@amsat.org if you would like to be placed on the "reminder list" as to when the next meeting will be.

Hi Andrew,
Most of the activity here in Oz is on the FM sats AO51 and SO50. Many people can be found on either bird on the first eastern pass of the morning.
As for SSB, there are a few guys who use VO52 and AO7; AO52 attracts the most signals and once again its usually the first eastern pass of the morning.
There is an active yahoo group called the OzSatGroup, which contains most of the AMSAT AU people and quite a few who arn't AMSAT members.
As Trevor pointed out in a previous email, the URL for the group is as follows..
That site contains a link to the Yahoo group that everyone monitors.
cheers
Tim
