Re: [Ground-station] Planar antennas
ThinKom Solutions: https://www.thinkom.com/technology/
They've been really popular for the antennas for Internet on planes before Starlink came online.
This is a good video going over their technology at a IEEE presentation. https://youtu.be/GnrXnQ7eVgY?si=i8_ty6K4BBS46mfi

Do you have a link for that antenna? My DuckDuck search only found a CB antenna company. Kent

Isn't this the same technology that ThinKom uses on their VICTER antennas
they have one platter that changes azimuth, another for elevation and another for changing between LHCP and RHCP. It seems like they're only really good for X-band to E-band just reading their brochures about their individual antennas and phased arrays for their gateway antennas.

Do you see any large metamaterial lens out front? If so it would be nearly as thick as it is wide.
Very different technology.

Sounds similar to this tech... is it the same? https://www.thinkom.com/technology/

A Concept drawing.
Much easier ways of doing it and it completely leaves out the logic systems necessary to control it.
