I had a 75 degree pass of AO-7 this afternoon and thought I'd try to hear the beacon. I've tried a couple of times now and not heard anything. Maybe my high local noise level prevents me from hearing it, but I don't have much noise with the antenna pointing almost straight up.

Does the Mode B beacon on 145.975 MHz still function or has it failed?
