We have potentially great news about ITAR and all certain people can think to do is try to tear it down. Could it be that some people don't want AMSAT to be out from under ITAR because it removes a convenient excuse for the lack of ability to get anything consequential done towards launching an HEO satellite? TheĀ premature negative reactions are ridiculous.

note: i'm mobile.
All that i've asked for is to see what was in the actual request. The determination letter only has meaning, within the context of the request. This is not tearing anything down, it's requesting information to determine what the claim to success really means.

I have been reading the various threads, and postings of late regarding the goings on of AMSAT.
All in all, it reminds of this: https://wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Jerry_Pournelle%27s_Iron_Law_of_Bureaucracy

Graham,
I think you are spot on with that comment. I've seen this in multiple entities including AMSAT-NA.
