Hi all!
Is the ISS V/u repeater down? I tried several times (and passes) to trigger it without success.

They had a school contact:
Contact was successful: Thu 2021-01-21 18:27:40 UTC 52 deg (***)
AMSAT.org/status shows crew active and then crossband inactive immediately following.
Perhaps they didn't put it back in the right mode after the contact.

John,
Thanks, probably so, and good news it is not a hardware failure as they did the QSO you mentioned.

The ARISS webpage at https://www.ariss.org/current-status-of-iss-stations.html has the very latest official status of the radios on board the ISS. The planned schedule for the next few weeks is indicated there now. On a roughly 2 month cycle, the mode will alternate between the cross-band repeater and packet. The next change of mode is expected sometime after the school contacts that are scheduled in the first week of February when the mode will go to packet. Right now the radios are off due to an EVA. This is a requirement whenever there is an EVA. 73,Charlie AJ9NOne of the ARISS Mentors In a message dated 2021-01-23 08:59:26 Eastern Standard Time, johnbrier@gmail.com writes: They had a school contact: Contact was successful: Thu 2021-01-21 18:27:40 UTC 52 deg (***) AMSAT.org/status shows crew active and then crossband inactive immediately following.
