It has been an exhausting couple of weeks but I have done everything that has been suggested and even tried some new stuff that I read about. I still cannot get the CAT part of SATpc32 to work correctly, thus no real contacts. Yes I can hear myself eventually and get it into the sqf file but I am missing something to make it track so it seems.
Some times I am close and can hear my voice but the auto kicks in and I cannot find it again. Had a few times where someone answers my test calls and we are able chat but way off freq. When adjusting the offset in the CAT menu what kind of numbers may be seen or average.
At this point I have given up for a while, /thinking I am too old for this stuff now,/ and now looking for hands on help in one of the local clubs in Ontario Canada. Not taken the antennas down as yet.

I know dealing with the computer stuff can be very frustrating.
Please take a look at the SAT tracker. There are lots of people using it and everybody says it’s very easy to set up they are out of stock at the moment but should be back in stock in 2 to 3 weeks send the us an email and they will put you on the list and notify you when they are back in stock.
If you are having an issue once you get the SAT tracker we provide zoom Tech support to help you get up and running.
I did not see in your email what radio you were trying to use unfortunately at this time the SAT only works with ICOM satellite radios.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties! I can empathize. Have you set your latitude and longitude in SatPC32? Updated the program’s Keplerian elements? Are the date and time on your computer clock correct? Which satellites are you trying to use? The .sqf file that came with your installation may have a mistake in it for CAS-4A and B. The entries for them may show NOR. If so, change that to REV. Don’t know what your rig is. But if it’s an IC 9700, make sure when in satellite mode that you tuning is set to REV for linear satellites, not NOR. 73, Ray KN2K Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS

If you have the 9700 the RIT knob is your friend. Birds can be off quite a bit from the published frequencies.
