Nice surprise this morning on FO-29 satellite,, WH6XM Bob in Hilo HI Grid BK29 was on at 1606Z which is very early for him in HI. Bob is always looking for contacts so anyone needing HI for WAS or his grid be on the lookout for him. He works FO29 and always has a great signal JACK KC7MG
Jack,
From the indian Ocean, FO-29 is a great satellite accessible with less than 5W and quite a strong downlink also. Large footprint which is quite important for us in the middle of the ocean enabling QSO’s with ZS, VU and Africa in general (unfortunately silent). I made many QSO with FR and ZS (about 10 OM’s) and regularly with ZS2BK (Andre) who is quite active on all the birds.
