Art, Just an idea, do you have tone on (67.0 Hertz PL tone on the uplink) also if the bird is not active it needs a PL tone of 74.4 to arm the timer..
Hope this helps.

Hi Art, SO-50 requires a 74.4 Hz sub tone on the uplink signal to be activated and a 67.0 Hz sub tone to be worked. SatPC32 can set both tone frequencies. Click the "T" control (in the uppler left part of the main window) to "T2" to select the 74.4 Hz tone and switch the radio to TX for a few seconds to activate the sat. Then click the control to "T1" to set the 67.0 Hz tone. It the sat is active use only T1. With satellites that don't require a sub tone the functions are disabled. 73s, Erich, DK1TB

Thank you for your suggestions I will try them but my main concern was that I was sure that I had the tone set but was still unable to access the bird and wondered if I had not set the tone properly. I have just acquired the ic- 910 I have been using an ic-820H and was not sure if I had set the tone properly. The 820 worked with SatPC32 seamlessly but I had to set the 910 to go to satellite mode so I wasn't sure if I was setting the 910 properly. Or if there was something that I had to do. The 910 works with all other birds fine just not SO50.
