Re: Triton-1 update #4 23 November 2013 08:30UTC - new Triton1 TLE available
Triton-1 heard here at 1500UTC pass, every 15s or so.
Whats the easiest solution to decode the telemetry?

Hi all,
New TLE's for the DNEPR launch have been issued, we believe that Triton-1 is object M.
2013-066M 1 39427U 13066M 13326.98436826 -.00002391 00000-0 -39688-3 0 10 2 39427 97.7901 39.5474 0120424 185.3601 174.6374 14.64539763 201
Meanwhile, Triton-1 is still in nominal mode, transmitting AX.25 BPSK on 145.822MHz. Reception reports, especially in case the satellite is in safe mode (transmitting the safe mode CW beacon) are welcome!

Hi Mike, I selected in MIXW the modem called "VHF 1200 baud (Satellite PSK)" and checked "Emulate KISS TNC on TNC emulation port" - the only place I found KISS mentioned in MIXW..
What I got is this...: TRIV0/-12*>TRIV0>UNKN,? TRIV0/-13*/'-8>TRIV0>UNKN,? TRIV0/-13*>TRIV0>UNKN,?
I guess I am missing something...? since I noticed that you decoded a full HEX stream
I am using MIXW version 3.1.1 Thanks! shamai

Hi Shamai,
this is correct. You need a TNC emulation and a software which decodes the data into a kiss file. See my latest blog entry : http://www.dk3wn.info/p/?p=38750
The next step is to decode the kiss file - I need more information from the TRITON team. If they give me the information I can write the decoder software in the usual matter.
Shalom, Shalom
MIke
