Dear Friends,

I have done a lot of testing and the FT-847 has a bug on the CAT interface which causes it to sometimes "freak out" for no apparent reason. It returns garbage in CAT commands and just doesn't will not work correctly.

This requires a power cycle to clear. There is no chance of getting this fixed so you just have to be aware of it when using computer control. Fortunately, it does not seem to occur too often.

I ran into odd problems with my 847 i made a full reset and all theses problem disappear but at a cost i lost all my memory channel and settings. Just be sure all the available trouble shooting options has been explore before making a full reset.
