Re: Kagayaki ??????? WOW
HI OZ1MY WOW I just thinking about the same fast signal that choped the waterfall of the hamscope while I track the whole family last pass around 22:00 utc. I do not remeber at what frquency this occur! It took 5 to 7 second to cross the all bandwidth of the waterfall . yes it is so strong and yes it had doppler drift tone! I thougth it was a kind of local qrm?? but I had never see a qrm like this before for sure it is from the sky which one ? Kagayaki ??????? may be Nader ,st2nh www.st2nh.com
Hi Nader, Thanks for the answer. I do not have a waterfall display - but that would be a good idea.
The signal may also be some unstability or spurious signal from the transmitter of one of the other satellites.
It was there again here during the last pass like I described it in the first e-mail.

Ib and Nader, thank you for the report. I forwarded them to the Kagayaki command station. The command station still cannot hear any signal from Kagayaki and cannot make a communication with the sat.
Please keep on watching Kagayaki.

Hi Masa, It is just a speculation. I did not hear anything of the "fun" signal on the pass with AOS for OBJECT H at 11:21:40 UTC here from Copenhagen.
It would be nice if you could get the OBJECT or catalog number from the other groups in Japan which they use for the satellites, we can not hear. It would help in identifying which one is Kagayaki.
So far I think that:
PRISM is OBJECT B (sure)
STARS is OBJECT G (99% sure)
KKS-1 is OBJECT H (99% sure)
Please forward my congratulations to all the groups. 73 OZ1MY Ib ----- Original Message ----- From: "Masahiro Arai" m-arai@a.email.ne.jp To: amsat-bb@amsat.org Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2009 11:06 AM Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: Kagayaki ??????? WOW

Hi Ib,
I agree with you. The newest TLE are much better (day 025). Tracked automatically with these new keps the PRISM (#33493) pass without any problems.
