This evening - two episodes of Dr. House on Swiss TV :-)
A week later than expected the very first technology preview of the new HRD satellite tracking module is available:
http://www.ham-radio-deluxe.com/Downloads/BetaKits/tabid/99/Default.aspx
Something to play with while the HEO satellites are being prepaired :-)

Hello Simon,
Why, the last BETA versions not works with the YAESU FT-847? In the GROUND CONTROL the button SAT not active the SAT function on radio and the modes and VFO (SubB, MainA) is impossible to set.
The only the 3.4 v1294 works perfect with my YAESU FT-847 the all others (newer) not works, doing the same problem.

I do like the look of the new programme but will continue using Orbitron, what I did like was the slider control that allowed the user to alter the frequencys as needed, the current WISP DDE system I am using with Orbitron and FT817s does not allow this manual tunning but an older copy of WISP DDE did. Shall have to see if I can find the older version and see if that still works. regards Gus M0IKB
An essential part of this new HRD software is the ability to run a remote station - mainly EME but also given that the ERP is about 400KW (!) on some bands we could also melt the odd unsuspecting satellite :-).
This is a technology preview - the aim being to continue to refine this software over the next years. Almost exactly 3 months' work.
I think I'm right in saying that you can't change the FT-8x7 frequency while the radio is in TX mode.

I'll try to fix the FT-847 support in the current HRD beta - I have a FT-847 in the shack for the next few weeks.

Why, the last BETA versions not works with the YAESU FT-847?
Fabiano,
"Ground Control?" It sounds as if you are using the old Satellite part of HRD. You need to use the new Satellite Tracking program. It is a separate program, like DM780. You can see it in the HRD menu group which the new program creates. All the FT-847 functions, including the SAT button, work fine in the new program.

Fabiano,
Start HRD as usual. Then start the Satellite Tracker. In the upper left corner you should see:
RADIO |> Connect
Click on the Connect, which will connect to the radio. Good luck!
