... was constantly calling cq on top of us. Do these guys even listen to the downlink?
Personally, I would have privately emailed him and explained the situation ... BEFORE publicly demeaning him in any public message forum.
And I just sent him a private, polite email. Nothing accusatory. No calling him an "alligator" or "intentional interference source."
Let's see what we get as a response.

I dislike assholes in any aspect of my life. "Amateur radio" conversations should be positive and entertaining and educational experiences. And not a demeaning, name-calling, childish activity.
I suppose you also sent messages to the other two guys who wrote, "Way to go - insulting fellow hams is OK in my book!" - to tell them the same.
But, knowing you, I am sure you did not.
And so it goes ...

Another Ham's business... Talking (Complaining) about satellites... On a public mailing list... about... satellites... And we can't comment on it?
Wait... What?

Ted has an "anti-Clint" war waging in his own mind. Not sure what started it. But he is surely one who sees the demonstrable successful promotion of this aspect of the amateur radio hobby by me as something he cannot deal with.

Maybe the other ham the original guy was complaining about was working SO50 with a dual band/single receive HT himself and was not able to monitor the downlink while he was calling.
