Technical question AO-51
Hey fellow sat-hams,
I have a few technical question about AO-51.
1) In V/S mode What is the average output power? 2) What kind of antenna is used on 2.4GHz and 1.3Ghz? 3) What is the sensitivity of the 1.3Ghz receiver? 4) Some where I reeded that AO-51 has an HF receiver? If it true, for what is the purpose?
This is just a couple of things, I'm thinking about . I thank very much for any answer on the questions.

About 1.5 watts.

A dual band antenna built by Stan Wood WA4NFY. http://n4hy.smugmug.com/AMSAT/AO-51-ECHO/Antennas/
- What is the sensitivity of the 1.3Ghz receiver?
I don't have these numbers at hand, but it's not super. The L receiver is actually the same receiver as HF, i.e. an all band, all mode type synthesized receiver.

We initially wanted to try 28MHz/435MHz PSK31, but with the short antenna, and extra losses in a last minute hardware change, this mode does not work very well.

Hi, The sensitivity is -117 dBm for 10 to 12 dB SINAD. 73 OZ1MY Ib ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Glasbrenner" glasbrenner@mindspring.com To: "Robin Theunis" robint91@gmail.com Cc: amsat-bb@amsat.org Sent: Thursday, June 10, 2010 12:43 AM Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: Technical question AO-51
