Wait until the second truss and set of solar arrays is installed on next shuttle flight (Atlantis, STS-115) next week !!
That should improve the magnitude a bit more :-)

The thing that surprised me the most was how BIG it appears to be in the sky. What I could see with the naked eye looked like 2 large squares, connected at the points. VERY inspiring!! I wish I had taken my binoculars out with me. I will be watching for other passes. Strange thing is, I didn't hear any activity on 145.800. I figured I would hear some kind of activity.

Do a search on Google Images for "ISS telescope" and you will see some photography of visible ISS passes. Here is an interesting one:

If you like watching the ISS go overhead, you will like Iridium Flares too. Check out this website for info:

THanks. I was just about to post and ask about this. I used to observe the Iridium Flares about 10 years ago, but have long since lost the program I used for prediction, and actually had forgotten what they were called, or I would have googled it. But a couple nights ago I was watching a very dim sat go across the sky, and it flashed like an Iridium, although not quite so bright and it flashed more than once, so I don't think it was a real Iridium, but it made me want to try watching for them again. Thanks.
