No I am actually from Ashburn Va. The FCC is a little slow in updating my address.

Hello Chris,
Thank you for your post.
Well, whether such a workshop is too advanced or not, that's your call. But let it be known that the PICetSat II module is VERY simple, meant for the beginner and the advanced builder/user alike, and that we have at least one full ground station set up at the workshop as part of the whole system, to test, experiment with and use. All is part of a grand learning experience.
The ground station includes, of course, an antenna with gain. I am hoping to find someone who can help me and the local AMSAT-DC group by selecting a 432 MHz antenna design such as the recent one featured in QST Magazine, and then kit the parts and arrange for a building and antenna test session for those who prefer that, over having a model of a simulated satellite to take home with them.
Since you are living in the Pittsburg area then we would especially welcome you and encourage you at our workshop. We recognize, however, that it is a long 4-hour, 230 mile one-way trip to Greenbelt. I'm not sure of the level of AMSAT activity in NE Ohio or western PA, but we welcome those from anywhere and everywhere!
The guys here are great, very friendly and helpful. You would have a wonderful day here.
So, if you have any specific questions further then please shoot them to us on this amsat-dc list. Any of a number of use would be glad to offer you our advice, stories, experience, recommendations or hints.
Cheers,
Pat Kilroy, N8PK AMSAT-DC Area

Satellites but, I think this might be a little to advanced for me. I am more interested in equiptment and o! peration of Easy Sats. Unless you think this would help me out in some way.
