Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your fine information; it was
very helpful over the weekend. Only problem,
at least as far as AO-27 goes, its schedule
was not good for us in the Greater DC area.
And won't be for a while.
Regardless, I listened once or twice for this
particular sat over the weekend and heard
nothing. Such was my luck. ;-)

It looks like we miss the ON times for the
analog and the TLM opportunities.
I will recheck later in the week to see if and
when it phases back into our favor.
Or am I missing something?
Thanks again,
Pat

AO-27 's FM repeater operates on a schedule -
http://www.ao27.org/AO27/index.shtml
Look at the topic "Current TOPR Schedule"
Essentially you only get about 7-8 minutes of talk time -
followed by about 1 minute of telemetry transmission --- (during
which the repeater function is not available)
There are telemetry decoding programs available --
and then the satellite turns off the transmitter for a period of time.
So - if appears not to be on -- be patient -- it will come on during
some part of the pass.
