Everyone,
A cubesat-smallsat technology seminar will be held on Wednesday 4/2. Details are provided below.
Wes
Announcing a seminar (April 2, 1:30 to 3:30PM, 34/W150A) co-sponsored by GSFC Smallsat-Cubesat Technology Focus Group and the Future Explorations Science Working Group (FESWG) on the latest compact spacecraft systems technologies that may be relevant to high priority science requirements driven missions in Earth orbit or in deep space.
* Walter Holemans, Planetary Systems Corporation provides lightweight, cost effective, and test verified separation systems for for large, small and CubeSat scale aerospace systems. These systems have attained TRL 9 on all US launch vehicles and ESA's Vega. Their Canisterized Satellite Dispensers dispense satellites ranging from 1/8U to 27U in size.
* Jeff Harvey and Leslie Seal, MMA Design develops deployable apertures and structures for nanosatellites, particularly deployable solar arrays, antenna and optical systems, and electro-mechanical support for these systems.
* Nestor Voronka, Tethers Unlimited develops a variety of advanced technologies for CubeSat applications, including deployable devices that support communication, propulsion and power systems, on-orbit manufacturing support, as well as advanced mechanisms involving tethers.
Please note: Those who attend must be US Citizens.
