
Sure! Positive longitude values are in the Eastern Hemisphere and negative values are in the Western Hemisphere! You can also make Florida (83°W) a longitude of 277° (E) and come out with the same as -83°

Using the Passes search feature on the AMSAT site, are correct results obtained by using a negative sign in front of longitude numbers, or by leaving the negative sign off ?
I get different calculations for each way.
