Hi Scott,
Thanks for the email. Ken N5VHO brought me up to date on the Echolink situation in an email, so I think I can explain things to the gentlemen on the net next week. He is blind and gets most of his satellite info through us.
Welcome to Florida! There is a pretty active group of AMSAT folks around here, especially over in the Orlando area. I'm on the other side of the state in New Port Richey. If you are interested we have an AMSAT-Florida email list that has some activity on it, and we also have a statewide net that meets on Thursdays at 730PM. Your closest repeater would be 443.100 N4HHA in Orlando, or via Echolink node 4429 KG4YZY-R. Our next big function will probably be the Melbourne Hamfest in October, so be sure to drop in and say hi, we could always use help too if you have the time. I'd be happy to have some other active ACs here.

Hi Drew:
I read your message on the fieldops newsgroup last nite (I used to be a co-ordinator from NY before I moved down to Melbourne, Fl) Did you get the info you needed? I have listened to some of the contacts via the AMSAT conference in the past, I think we got notice via the echolink newsgroup, but I can check into that further. Let me know what info you need, and I'll see what I can dig up.
