Good Morning Everyone:
Just as a FYI, I've started hooking the Fairhaven, MA Repeater (145.490
PL67.0) via IRLP into the Houston AMSAT net[1] every Tuesday at 2100
localtime.
I've been doing this for the past few weeks making sure everything
works. Now that I have the hang of it I just wanted to toss it out on
the mailing list in case there is anyone in the Southeastern MA area.
The repeater has a fairly good coverage of the South Coastal MA, Eastern
RI, and the Western Cape.[2]
Currently, this is purely on an ad-hoc basis and requires me to manually
establish the link, but if there is some interest, I've been told that
it's possible to permanently schedule it.
Also, with the Fairhaven repeater, this can be preempted at any time due
to SKYWARN/RACES/ARES activation.
Please feel free to forward this to anyone who may be interested. Hope
to "see" you there.
