There have been several changes to the AMSAT Keplerian Distribution this week. I want again to thank Nico Janssen, PA0DLO for his sterling work and for the AMSAT-BB group which keeps me aware of new activity. 1. The satellites of the Chinese CZ-6 launch of 9-15-2015 have been identified and the unused objects have been dropped fron the distribution. a. Objects A, C, D, F, and G have been dropped. b. The list now reads as follows: NUDT-PHONESAT - NORAD CAT ID 40900 (Object B) XW-2A - NORAD CAT ID 40903 (Object E) XW-2C - NORAD CAT ID 40906 (Object H) XM-2D - NORAD CAT ID 40907 (Object J) LILACSAT-2 - NORAD CAT ID 40908 (Object K) XW-2E - NORAD CAT ID 40909 (Object L) XW-2F - NORAD CAT ID 40910 (Object M) XM-2B - NORAD CAT ID 40911 (Object N) DCBB - NORAD CAT ID 40912 (Object P)
2. The satellites for the Chinese CZ-11 launch of 9-25-2015 have been added to the distribution. a. There seems to be some uncertainty as to which objects are TW-1A and TW-1C because they transmit on the same frequency, but NORAD has identified them as shown below. For now, AMSAT will go with the NORAD identification until they are proven to be incorrect. b. The NORAD identification is as follows: TW-1A -NORAD CAT ID 40928(TianWang 1A, SECM-1), a 2U Cubesat TW-1B -NORAD CAT ID 40927(TianWang 1B, NJUST-2), a 2U Cubesat TW-1C -NORAD CAT ID 40926(TianWang 1B, NJFA-1), a 3U Cubesat.
3. On 9-28-2015, India launched the LAPAN-A2 satellite on their PSLV-C30/astrosat mission. See AMSAT News Service Bulletin AS-270 dated 9-27-2015. At this point, the flock of satellites is too close together to identitify LAPAN-A2. a. This week's distribution includes a list of candidates as follows: OB A PSLV-C30 (Object A) - NORAD CAT ID 40930 OB B PSLV-C30 (Object B) - NORAD CAT ID 40931 OB C PSLV-C30 (Object C) - NORAD CAT ID 40932 OB D PSLV-C30 (Object D) - NORAD CAT ID 40933 OB E PSLV-C30 (Object E) - NORAD CAT ID 40934 OB F PSLV-C30 (Object F) - NORAD CAT ID 40935 OB G PSLV-C30 (Object G) - NORAD CAT ID 40936 B. I will correct as needed when an identification is made.
