The last thing I ordered from Newark was also shipped from the UK with no shipping communications and as I recall took a long time.

It was also an obsolete component by DigiKey and Mouser.

Keep us posted.

Ok, Bob.  The picture sure looks like there are "holes" there, but you never know.  I do think that I asked Zach to put the connector on the bottom so it would line the ribbon cable up correctly with the RTIHU connector.  We'll find out.  BTW, Newark says they are sending the board from the UK.  Hmm.

Burns,

I believe he is talking about a 10 pin connector on the bottom left corner of the photo that is turned down below the board.

He probably did this to make a standard ribbon cable work with female IDC connectors on each end.

We can make that change if the boards are shipped.

It may be that Newark inventory is there because they do not got so much business on TI product. Normally when an OEM drops a product they pull all the distributor inventory back. These may be a third party board which is fine if they have the same processor and code.

It will be interesting to see if the TI ARM processor TM4C1294NCPDTT3R is on these boards. If it is and several people working on AMSAT projects need these boards we probably should buy more.

The info I have is the design information I showed last night that Zach shared with me on an AMSAT version of this programming interface board.

Thanks, Zach.  That might mean that what I ordered is different.  See in the picture, the place where you added the connector is not populated.  (You have to hover over it to get the expanded version in order to see it).

Well see what happens.  Actually do you have a couple of male connectors that you could send me?  That way, I could easily add it in and test the new board (assuming it comes...maybe you'd better wait until I get a shipping number :-) )

Hello Burns and the Pacsat team,

This is not correct; I replace the female 2x5 connector with a male 2x5
shrouded/keyed connector. Instructions, already sent to Bob Strickland,
attached.
