Cameron,

I’m reading from this datasheet:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/AFT05MS004N.pdf

The 12 volts is actually the Maximum Rated voltage at 12.5 from Table 1

I finally see where you are getting 7.5 (from  Narrowband and Wideband Performance).

The biggest negative I see is that’s it’s only available from Mouser and we don’t want single source components unless necessary and being single sourced might indicate it’s on the way out of production.

But it does lead into another source and/or family.

I’m attempting to understand if they have a driver on the board and if so what it may be.

It’s lens and microscope time reading the component labels and understanding the marking.

Just a side venture as I wanted to understand how this ground station worked and was able to obtain one.

Looks like the datasheet example has a Vdd of 7.5V. Where did you see that it needs 12V?

It's very similar to the component we're already using, but it's got a 3% increase in efficiency at 520 MHz which will be better with the lower power output. I wanted to get some different transistors to build up the models I've been playing with. This one is definitely something to look at.

Thanks,

Cameron

Probably not.

Requires 12 volts.

It was late last night when it arrived and I popped the top off.

Should have looked at the spec longer before hitting the keyboard.

But,  hope.
