Wow, great visible pass, rising out of the north west, and going straight overhead before winking out. I couldn't see much in the way of structure, even with binoculars, but it was really bright.
I heard sstv, and had my PC running a live capture into QSSTV on my Linux box. The program decoded it as Robot36, but the picture is just a bunch of nearly horizontal colored stripes, like a TV set that is way out of sync. You can see that there was some text at the bottom, but it's illegible.
I used the same setup with Richard a few months ago, and got some beautiful pictures. What format was Charles using?

Charles said this morning that he is planning to take more SSTV images. He will investigate the possibility of leaving the VC-H1 in automatic mode. He also plans to do more voice QSOs with the ham community. So you should monitor for SSTV and voice activity this week. I would appreciate it if you would upload any SSTV images you receive to the http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ariss/SSTV/index.php page, please. Thanks! 73, Will
