Does anyone know the outcome of charles simonyi's work with the ariss equipment?

Was the kenwood reprogrammed etcetera?

I was happy to make a contact with charles last thursday evening. So therefore something was done to the radio. Anyone know if it can be used for casual or cross-band contacts?
