An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Albert Park College, Albert Park, Victoria, Australia

on 20 July. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 08:40 UTC. It is recommended that you start listening approximately 10 minutes before this time.The duration of the contact is approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds. The contact will be a telebridge between RSØISS/OR4ISS and W6SRJ. The contact should be audible over the west coast of the U.S. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in English.

Albert Park College is located in one of Melbourne's most prestigious locations. Nestled in the heart of Albert Park the school offers state of the art facilities designed and developed by award winning architects Woods Bagot.

Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:

1. In terms of becoming an astronaut what degrees do you have that qualify

you to become astronauts and what is the training process involved?

2. Do you lose perception of time, witnessing multiple sunrises a day?

3. What happens when a person gets sick and you run out of supplies to get

that person feeling better?

4. What is a typical day's schedule for you?

5. Have you seen space junk? How bad is the problem?

6. What is the ambient internal temperature at the ISS considering the

astronauts come from different parts of the world?

7. What research are you doing up there that can't be done down here?

8. What happens when you get re-exposed to gravity?

9. Will you apply to be a part of the Mars 1 mission?

10. What is your opinion on future space travel for the rest of humanity, and

how does your work correlate with this possibility?

11. Do you get to know the other astronauts really well in the extreme of

space?

12. What is the most fascinating part of the earth from space?

13. What type of network connection is used in the space station and how

reliable is the connection?

14. How do you stay fit and in good physical condition in places with low

gravity?

15. What man-made things can you see from space?

16. What type of contact do you have with the family and friends back home?

17. What do you miss most about gravity?

18. What are the dangers involved in returning to Earth?

19. If you could do your life all over again, would you choose to be an

astronaut? Why/why not?

20. What kind of technologies do you use to aid with your research which are

not commercially available?
