An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Tongfu Road No.1 Primary School, Guangzhou, Guangdong, P.R. China on 11 June. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 08:24 UTC.

The duration of the contact is approximately 9 minutes and 41 seconds.

The contact will be direct between NA1SS and BY7KTO. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in English.

Tongfu Road No.1 Primary School of Guangzhou has been operating for more than 70 years and is famous in the region. It is qualified as one of the 1st grade schools and green schools in Guangdong, as well as the advanced education unit in Guangzhou. Currently, more than one thousand pupils are studying at the school. The amateur radio club of Tongfu Road No.1 Primary School was established in 2007, and serves as part of the school's daily activities. A team from this school won the national youngster's amateur radio contest in 2007.

Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:

1 What kind of physical exercise can be conducted on the ISS?

2 Is drinking allowed during the lift off?

3 Do you sneeze or hiccup in the space?

4 If you can bring some private item into the ISS, what will it be?

5 Is there any strange feeling besides zero gravity in the space?

6 Have you seen any interesting thing like meteoric stones?

7 What kind of danger will you face in the space?

8 How long do you work every day?

9 What are the occupational diseases for the astronauts? How to overcome

them?

10 What is the most valuable experience for your future life gained in the

space.

11 What's your expectation for the earth after working in the space?

12 Is it hot or cold in the space around the ISS? How do you handle the sweat

during an EVA?

13 Can you feel the extraordinary speed during an EVA?

14 How can you talk to a fellow astronaut in an EVA? What kind of equipment

will you use?

15 What kind of difficulties will you face in an EVA?

16 How long will an EVA take?

17 Is open fire allowed on the ISS?

18 What are the highest and lowest temperatures on the ISS? When will they

occur?

19 What kind of entertainment is available on the ISS?

20 How can you measure liquid volume in the space?

21 How to make the space shuttle docking smoothly?

22 How do you feel about not being able to join in family's birthday parties

while you are working on the ISS?

23 What are the procedures to wear the space suite, and how long will they

take?

24 What will be the fate of Hubble after its decommission?

25 What kind of inspections are required besides physical ones after you come

back to the earth?

ARISS is an international educational outreach program partnering the participating space agencies, NASA, Russian Space Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA, with the AMSAT and IARU organizations from participating countries.

ARISS offers an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking directly with crewmembers on-board the International Space Station. Teachers, parents and communities see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and crewmembers on ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science, technology, and learning.
