An International Space Station Expedition 16 ARISS school contact has been planned with Kololev High School No.15, Moscow, Russia on 27 Dec. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:07 UTC.

The contact will be a telebridge between stations RS0ISS and ON4ISS. The contact should be audible in most of Europe. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. In addition, the audio should be available via IRLP and EchoLink. The participants are expected to conduct the conversation in Russian.

Participants will ask as many of the following questions (in Russian) as time allows : 1). Какие загрязнения и где их можно видеть на поверхности океана, на Земле и в атмосфере? 2). Что делается американскими космонавтами на борту МКС для школьной образовательной программы? 3). Как вы праздновали рождество и как вы будете праздновать наступление Нового года? 4). Какие подарки вы получили к праздникам с грузовым кораблем? 5). Мы желаем Вам счастливого полета, интересных экспериментов, эффективных образовательных программ и конечно мягкой посадки. Счастливого Нового Года Вам всем

English translation of the questions to be asked: 1) What contaminations, and where, do you see in ocean, on land, and in atmosphere? 2) What do US astronauts do onboard ISS as part of the school educational program? 3) How did you celebrate Christmas and how are you going to celebrate the New Year? 4) What presents did you get for holidays with the arrival of the cargo vehicle? 5) We wish you a happy flight, interesting experiments, effective educational programs, and, of course, soft landing. ARISS is an international educational outreach program partnering the participating space agencies, NASA, Russian Space Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA, with the AMSAT and IARU organizations from participating countries.

ARISS offers an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking directly with crewmembers on-board the International Space Station. Teachers, parents and communities see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and crewmembers on ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science, technology, and learning.
