An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Euro Space Center, Night of Stars, Transinne, Belgium on 13 August. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 19:59 UTC.

The contact will be a telebridge between NA1SS and W6SRJ. The contact should be audible over the west coast of the U.S. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in French.

Night of Stars" is dedicated by the Euro Space Center to amateur astronomy. Amateur astronomers present their activities to the general public. Youngsters participating to this event are delighted to ask questions of a space explorer on board the International Space Station.

Participants will ask as many of the following questions (translated) as time allows: 1. Sur quel type d'experience travaillez-vous? (What kind of experiments are you working on?) 2. Dans combien de temps la base de lancement pour le Soyouz à Kourou sera-t-elle prête? (When will the Soyuz launch pad in Kourou be ready for use?) 3. Avez-vous des loisirs? Comment les occupez-vous? (How do you spend your free time?) 4. Constatez-vous des changements physiologiques après 3 mois dans l'espace? (Do you see bodily changes after 3 months in space?) 5. Que mangez-vous? (What do you eat?) 6. Comment allez-vous à la toilette? (How do you go to the toilet?) 7. Combien pèse une combinaison spatiale? (What's the weight of a spacesuit?) 8. Qu'est qui est plus difficile : vivre ensemble avec peu de personnes pendant longtemps ou vivre ensemble avec beaucoup de personnes pendant un court laps de temps? (What's more difficult : living together with a few persons for a long time or living together with many people for a short time?) 9. A quelle vitesse vole ISS? (What's the speed of the ISS?) 10. Comment communiquez-vous avec votre famille? (How do you communicate with your family?) 11. Observez-vous des changement sur la planète Terre? (Do you see some changes on planet Earth?) 12. Qu'est qui a changé en 7 ans à bord de ISS? (What has changed in 7 years on the ISS?) 13. Le deuxième vol est-il plus facile que le premier? (Is the second flight easier than the first one?) 14. Etudiez-vous la matière noire? (Do you do research on black matter?) 15. Que ressent-on en impesanteur? (How do we feel in microgravity?) 16. Que voyez-vous au travers du hublot? (What do you see through the window?) 17. Que ressentez-vous lors du decollage? (What do you feel during launch?) 18. Avez-vous fait du progrès en russe? (Did you improve your Russian?) 19. Comment est né l'Univers? (How was the Universe formed?)

ARISS is an international educational outreach program partnering the participating space agencies, NASA, Russian Space Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA, with the AMSAT and IARU organizations from participating countries.

ARISS offers an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking directly with crewmembers on-board the International Space Station. Teachers, parents and communities see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and crewmembers on ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science, technology, and learning.
