Another pass, another blank!! Anyone else???
Next pass at 1010 UTC goes right overhead and is visible. I shall check to see if it is still flying. I am beginning to have my doubts
Hi Norm, Well I definately heard something like a fax transmission on 145.800 during the 10:31 (BST) pass here in South East England, which faded away a few minutes later. Unfortunately I'm at work and just have the handheld with me. Keep trying. 73 Hugh M0WYE

Looks like he's very busy today with pre-arranged contacts.

SSTV on over UK.
Long silent carrier before and after images though.

On the 1235 pass (Mostly over the atlantic) no transmission has been received yesterday only blue empty pics where transmitted in the last pass of the day. I am guessing the school contact takes priority?

I'm in CM87, and heard a school contact 8ish (PDT) and then SSTV an hour or so later.
73, doug
That particular thing happens when the VC-H1 is left on and the battery runs down. Obviously Richard accidently left the VC-H1 on. I have accidently done that many times. When there is not enough power to run the camera there is a blank screen but the other electronics is still running and it captures a blank image and sends it down. Since the transmitter is powered separately so it's not bothered by the battery running down.
