An International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat vzw (SMCB), Brasschaat B-2930, Belgium on 07 Oct. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:21 UTC.

The duration of the contact is approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds.

The contact will be direct between OR4ISS and ON7RT . The contact should be audible over portions of eastern Europe. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The contact is expected to be conducted in Dutch and/or English.

Sint-Michielscollege Brasschaat (SMCB), Belgium is located in a suburban area, NE of Antwerp. The school provides primary and secondary education to respectively 600 and 900 students.

1500 students, aged 6 to 18, participated to the preparation of the space talk and will assist to the event.

Participants will ask as many of the following questions (translated) as time allows:

1. Wat is het tofste aan de ruimte? What is the coolest thing about being in space?

2. Wat is het moeilijkste aan uw beroep? What is the most difficult thing about your profession? 3. Hoe gaat u naar de WC? How do you use the lavatory? 4. Gaan jullie nog ruimtewandelingen maken? Are you still going to do some spacewalks? 5. Welke temperatuur is er in de ruimte? Whats the temperature like outside? 6. Spreekt u soms met uw vrouw of kinderen als u in de ruimte zit? Do you sometimes talk to your wife and kids when youre up there? 7. Is het waar dat jullie urine drinken? Is it true that you drink your own urine? 8. Kan een vlieg vliegen in het ruimtestation? Can a fly fly in the space station? 9. Als u een boek ergens zou neerleggen zou het 10 minuten later dan ergens

anders liggen? If I put a book somewhere inside the space station, would it be somewhere

else after ten minutes? 10.Hebben jullie internetverbinding in het ISS? Have you got internet in the ISS? 11.Eet je daar lekker? ARISS is an international educational outreach program partnering the participating space agencies, NASA, Russian Space Agency, ESA, CNES, JAXA, and CSA, with the AMSAT and IARU organizations from participating countries.

ARISS offers an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of Amateur Radio by talking directly with crewmembers on-board the International Space Station. Teachers, parents and communities see, first hand, how Amateur Radio and crewmembers on ISS can energize youngsters' interest in science, technology, and learning.
