The ARRL is a member of National VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters). And this Tuesday evening - August 9th - there will be a fundraiser event to support VOAD at the Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium, as they host the San Bernardino Quakes. VOAD receives 10% of ticket sales for tickets purchased - IF you use the Promo Code, RIVCO.
There will be a booth set up on the concourse at the stadium with information from the various VOAD members, including ARRL/ARES. This will be a good opportunity to inform the public about emergency communications and how ARES can support the various communities throughout the ARRL's Orange Section.
