Hi Scott!
hi folks, starting to get the hang of this new radio. Is there a way to use an external (power) speaker?. i have the smc-34 speaker mic that came with the unit and cannot just plug the mic jack in my itself is there some kind of adaptor like a pigtail to seperate the mic and speaker jacks?
I'm not aware of any pigtail/splitter to do what you describe, but you could plug the speaker into the small jack on the bottom of the mic. It's the same small (3/32" or 2.5mm) jack as on the radio, so you may need an adapter to plug in many speakers and headphones/earbuds with the more common 1/8" or 3.5mm plugs.
