That'll make it rough on my ID-51A+, minimum 5kHz steps. Still worth a shot. I was looking an at IC-9100 for a while, but man is that thing expensive.

Tests on AO-27 showed that D-STAR fails if the frequency is more than 1.5 kHz off, that means there are times when you will not be able to access or hear the satellite using 5 kHz steps. good news if it's actually another FM bird. Having a handful of new satellites up there all at once will hopefully spread out the crowds so

It's a half-duplex parrot repeater, so there's no need to hear yourself. The trick is Doppler compensation.
I find it somewhat odd that they've managed to receive signals, but everyone else in Europe is reporting silence. We shall see.

In other satellite news, one or maybe two Chinese amateur satellites was launched earlier this morning. FMN-1 carries an FM transponder with an uplink of 145.945 MHz and a downlink of 435.350 MHz. Telemetry downlink is 9k6 BPSK on 435.350 MHz. It's possible that one of the other CubeSats on the mission, Shaonian XIng, is one of the Juvenile series satellites coordinated here: http://www.amsatuk.me.uk/iaru/finished_detail.php?serialnum=547
However, without any communication from the satellite owners to the amateur community, all we can do is speculate and listen to see what's heard.

month. They're getting data from it, and are awaiting the TLE. Pretty crazy how fast they got that up there.
I don't have a second D-Star radio, but maybe it'll be workable
