FWIW on the time setting, I too run Windows 8.1 and have been using IZ2BKT's BktTimeSync to keep my clock in line. Actually I believe I've used it since I had Vista, anyway it works on 7, 8, and 8.1 just fine at least for me. http://www.maniaradio.it/ Started out with a sync every hour, then watching the results I tuned it so I run a sync every two hours now and the result is about a 10th of a second correction. Yeah, I may be getting too picky that's a personal choice but it doesn't take much overhead to run and it hasn't ever caused me a problem.
