I see beacons from these two aprs digipeating sats, but I am unsure what the Via field is to be used in order for packets to be digipeated.
For PSAT and ISS, I use ARISS and it works fine. I don't see a similar response from either of these other two birds.
I'm a bit uneasy about using a generic field like WIDE1-1.
BTW:
*Is there a generic via path I can use that will encompass (work for), both the ARISS birds and these two birds from Bhutan and Maylaysia?*
It would be nice, while puttering around the shack, and all of a sudden hearing packet activity on 145.825, to be able to jump on the keyboard and begin packeting without having to alter the Via path.
Data captured from yesterday:
Fm BIRDBT To APTT4 Via WIDE1-1 <UI pid=F0 Len=50 >[01:15:59] HELLO! THIS IS APRS-DIGIPEATER OF BHUTAN-1 CUBESAT
Fm BIRDMY To APTT4 Via WIDE1-1 <UI pid=F0 Len=50 >[01:22:09] HELLO! THIS IS APRS-DIGIPEATER OF UiTMSAT-1 CUBESAT
I didn't see any digipeated packets from anyone from either of these two sats. Perhaps their digipeaters are not active? (I did read on-line that at least one of them was supposed to be active, but it was old news and I've been out of the loop)
Setup:
UISS/UT7HO (Soundmodem) > Kenwood G-707 > Arrow J-Pole @ 15' (Rx and Tx) . This station is on 24x7 monitoring, and tx's when I have time. N0AN-10
Direwolf (Win10) > VBAudio > SDRPlay RSP2 > M2 Eggbeater @ 7' (Rx only Igate) . This station (N0AN-6) is active only when I'm not using the Eggbeater and SDRC Console/SDRPlay RSP2 for other satellite activities.
Any advice would be most welcome. 73, N0AN Hasan
