I think there are a couple of satellites older that still transmit, but AO-7 is, I believe, the oldest satellite that still serves a useful purpose.

All I have seen people mention is GOES 3 and ATS 3, but never once AO-7.. Even if it was silent for 21 years, it's still technically the longest operating satellite.
