All I added the CAS-5A elements (2022-167A) to the nasabare file for SATPC 32 and when I restarted the program I for this error message: ungutes argument zum codieren des datums, and now the program won't start past the error message. What did I do wrong and more important, how do I fix it?
TIA

The formatting is probably broken. Where did you copy paste it from? I used Space-Track.org and searched for 54682 and copy pasted it to the top of nasabare.txt and it worked fine.
There is also a TLE format fixer somewhere but I can't remember. I think it's a Windows program? Or is it a web app?

Isn't it trivial to create a TLE validator in javascript? Has someone done it yet? If someone can help me debug it, I can take a stab at it. - f

I actually figured it out. I had the computer in the shop for something else and apparantly the guy hid the app data file. Once I un hid it the program found it. Btw, I copied the TLES from Celestrak. I expect the nsdabrecfile will be updated soon. 73Rick Tejera (K7TEJ)Saguaro Astronomy ClubWww.saguaroastro.orgThunderbird Astronomy ClubWww.w7tbc.org -------- Original message --------From: Ashhar Farhan farhanbox@gmail.com Date: 12/9/22 17:30 (GMT-07:00) To: John Brier johnbrier@gmail.com Cc: saguaroastro@cox.net, AMSAT BB amsat-bb@amsat.org Subject: [AMSAT-BB] Re: Trying to add cas-5a elements Isn't it trivial to create a TLE validator in javascript? The only validation you can do on a TLE set is to check the checksum values. You can easily do that on this web page: https://www.vcalc.com/wiki/MichaelBartmess/TLE+Checksum
But you don't need to worry about checksum values with TLEs coming from sources like Space-Track and Celestrak. These will always have correct checksum values.
Note that not all satellite tracking programs use the checksum values in TLE sets. E.g. Orbitron will accept and use all TLEs, so also when the checksum values are incorrect. This can be useful when experimenting with home-made TLE sets (as I often do).

If you are using a PC you might try a Restore to get back before you changed it. Not sure, just a thought. Jim, W0NBC.
