Tracking with SatPC32
After a long absence, I'm getting back into satellite communications. I notice the LVB tracker is no longer available in the AMSAT store. Also, the GS-232 Yaesu rotator seems to be out of production.
What is the current solution for using SatPC32 to track? I started reading the "gettin started" articles in the Journal archives but I'm still reading 2019 articles.
Can someone please update me? I'd really like to work AO7 again...it was the first satellite I was ever able to track my "dits" through...

Most people who are using Yaesu G5500 rotators are using LVB trackers or clones such as the Fox-Delta ST2 . You can get LVB tracker kits from AMSAT-UK, and the ST2 direct from Fox-Delta. There are other controllers and rotators, of course (Alfa Spid and Green Heron seems to be the cadillac solution....)

I have had zero problems with my G5400 rotators and the ERC controller via USB connection.
It works wonderfully with SatPC32.

I just upgraded my 5400 controller to the K3NG version. I built it on an Arduino Nano and use 4 NPN transistors to key the controller. It uses the GS232 protocol and so far is working quite well with just a 2x16 blue display. I was able to put it together over the weekend...
