After 42 years as AMSAT Manager, I retired on December 31st. During those years, I made friends, saw cutting edge technology developed, met John Glenn, Owen Garriott, Ron Parise and experienced the launch of many satellites including SuitSat. I will miss my conversations with many of you and I'll miss the Organization which has been a big part of my life. I wish you all well and hope AMSAT will continue its goal of keeping amateur radio in space.

Martha,
Literally over decades, you and Tom were the core which held AMSAT together through the good times and the bad. We were incredibly lucky that you brought your experience with Project Head Start to us, though I suspect we Rocket Scientists were often noisier, messier, and even more poorly behaved than your first group of toddlers.
73 and may you and John have a long, peaceful retirement,

Many years ago, a former colleague of mine, after he retired, said that he was so busy he didn't know how he ever had time to work for a living. Now that I'm a senior citizen, or so the government tells me, I know what he was referring to.
Enjoy your retirement, Martha, and thank you for your service with AMSAT.

Martha,
In spite I don’t know you personally, along the years on the BB or others media my humble opinion is that you have done at least a great work for AMSAT, thanking you for that.
All the best for your retirement, also as a recent retired happy person and really enjoying same, I wish you also to be happy which is the most important thing in life that we tend often to forget.
