Download link issue for "Getting Started with Amateur Satellites"
Hi,
As a heads up to anyone trying to download this after getting a new membership, the link (at least for me on Firefox on Windows 7) does not provide the full file name, only "Getting". Importantly, it doesn't have pdf as the extension. If you just add that to the file after downloading it, it will open fine.

John, I had the exact same problem using the same set-up while renewing my membership. Never thought to try adding the correct suffix to what it was allowing me to download. There would no reason to even try it. I'm surprised you discovered it. The webpage told me it was getting "get". I did receive prompt help from a nice gentlemen who is a prominent official of AMSAT on this list and every thing turned out well. My renewal was already taken out of my credit card but every time I go back and check my account at the AMSAT store, it says "processing". One more thing, being a member for many years, when I tried to log into the store to renew, it no longer knew me. I had to create a new account using my same e-mail and password I always had and it was happy. The last thing I purchased was the broadband pre-amp which was not that long ago! . Still says order processing when I checked the AMSAT store this morning. Don't know what it is processing, they were paid and I have the e-book. I sure hope I see my membership (expires end of November) renewed for another year. Rick WB3CSY

Hello,
I'm a new Amsat-NA member since october 4. Never noticed a download link. Now that I am logged in on store.amsat.org, I see 3 downloads remaining but are expired since october 7? I wonder how to get the "Getting started with amateur satellites"
Good job from Amsat to build and launch a new sat. The excitement to hear it short after launch, triggered me to become a member.

I'm sorry it was not clear where to download the file. In retrospect we should have sprung for the store add-in software to make it more prominent instead of using the mediocre capability it came stock with. I trust I've gotten your files to you directly OK now.
For those wishing to take advantage of the free Getting Started Guide with membership while the offer stands, take a look at these images:

The link is active for 3 days, and you get three tries to get through the 4Mb download. If you experience issues, please email me directly. Including your paid invoice email from the store will speed things along.
