Norman,
Bob, WB4APR, and Greg, KO6TH, and Dave, K8DAV have written articles about interfacing the U-100 type rotors to the PC. A couple of the links are shown below. I started implementing Greg's method with a rotor controller circuit designed by Mark, WA8SME, using a Basic Stamp module but haven't finished it yet. I would be happy to share some ideas off the list.

I'm kind of curious about this as well. I have been using Gemini Orbit 360 rotators along with a SaebrTrack box which is built around a Basic Stamp module. I believe it's very similar to the WA8SME design. The problem is that the OR-360 rotators are getting hard to come by. I have two working ones and one that doesn't for parts. I worry that someday I'm going to lose a rotator and be up the creek since I can't afford the Yaesu units. Mine are down off the mast right now because I'm working on them. I think that the U-100/U-110 units are much more readily available from Norm's Rotor service. My question would be that since the OR-360 and Yaesu rotators get position feedback from pots and the U-100 series has some type of microswitch for positioning, how are you adapting to that? 73, Michael, W4HIJ ehekman@cox.net wrote:
