You all can do what you want, but Bill the other day was saying that he wanted to try to keep the launchpad version going for some time. In that case, we absolutely need it in the same repository. There are many advantages to having the same repository, including the ability to easily compare and merge. If anyone is not that comfortable with git, as long as you know how to get a particular branch, one of us can tell you which branch to use. Main is still the launchpad version. We can merge soon but I wanted to see if the board was working rather than dealing with merge issues. There was a tag for the build I used at Symposium and I added a tag called "final_launch_pad_build". So we will be able to re-branch from main at this point in the future after we merge the blinky stuff in. For now I checked out Burns' branch and created a branch called g0kla_blinky_testing with a few additional changes on top. With that said, it looks pretty stable (minus the receivers!). If no one objects then I am going to merge into main soon so that we can collaborate more easily. Main can be the tip of the dev branch and should always compile and be working but can contain known bugs we are all aware of. In my humble opinion it would be better to have a new project for this board and not have the code for this project and others mixed together. I think the problem is we don’t really understand GitHub and how to manage the permissions for AMSAT group. It does work however with the branch version you just have to work at CCS to get it to deal with the branch. I have highlighted the one you want on the image (WB1FJ_Port_to_Blinky). You can see by selecting the main on the GitHub. button If you have trouble with CCS I can give you some hints on that also. No, SW V2 has nothing in it. I created it at Bob's request, but then we decided it would all work easier and better to make a branch of the first one. My code is branch WB1FJ_Port_to_Blinky. It looks like Chris merged something with main, but I'm not sure what. I received my board last night and got it unpacked and started the visual review process, as in, that’s where that is. I’ll get it over to the software station tonight and start the learning process. My assumption is Burns V2 github version is the correct one to use. Looking at the schematic, there may be a possible problem in the receiver front end but I need to review the AX5043 documentation and schematic before testing. 73 Jim WA4CWI Initially there is an issue hearing a signal. Initially there is an issue hearing a signal. RX Device 0 and 1 have no RSSI even if a strong signal is transmitted on their receive frequency. I just checked a board and I see the RX3 sitting at GND state. Assuming the TMS570 is programmed to be an input the AX5043 must be pulling this line down to a low state. The IRQ line is pin 19 and they all have a via close by that you could scratch the solder mask off of and measure the voltage. If they are programed correctly and receive data this line should go high and stay there until the buffer is cleared. We know that interrupts work on both the Launchpad board and the RTIHU, so if they and Blinky are all wired the same way, we should be good there. The AX5043 has a 65K pull-up on the IRQ line. It interrupts by taking this line to a high state. The data sheet dose not say this but the output must be driven low when not in IRQ state. Seems like a odd way to do this so I may be reading it wrong. Output lines are supposed to support up to 40 mA. So you could probably cause an interrupt by using a 1K resistor with a jumper on it. Connect the jumper to 3.3V (Tab of the big regulator standing up and bent over) and tap the other end of the resistor on the IRQ line. You should get a single pulse and not damage anything.
