I'm having trouble getting my satellite log to show up in the LOTW VUCC Satellite section. I have over a hundred grids and not one shows up confirmed in LOTW. I looked at the .adi log in TSQL and indeed the mode of satellite, satellite name, and bands are populated. Does anyone have an idea why nothing would show up in VUCC Satellite? I only see my 6m contacts. I even tried to set a filter as my grid square from the example online (https://lotw.arrl.org/lotw-help/vucc-setup/?lang=en). That didn't help. Your assistance is appreciated.
Thanks, Mike, AA9VI
I believe that you need to define what contacts will count for the VUCC award.

A few months ago, I fought this issue with LOTW also.
It looks like the field called "Propagation" has to be filled out by your logging program with "satellite". Also, the name of the satellite has to be what LOTW calls it. I used RS-44 for example, and that works.
I don't know what logging program you use, but try to add satellite to the propagation field and reupload to LOTW. Rather gratifying to see the QSO's and grids start popping up.

Hi Mike, As was suggested earlier, the Propagation field needs to show SAT and the satellite name must be something that LOTW recognizes, e.g. RS-44 vice RS44, ARISS and not ISS, etc. If those two ideas don't do it, how about doing a copy and paste of one of your QSOs in ADIF format and post it. (Change the callsign to protect the guilty, etc.) I'd bet that would reveal what needs to be fixed. 73, Jim, ND9M

Fought this problem a little here also. One thing I noticed is that you must be consistent in using 4-character vs. 6-character grid square for your station location. Have fun! Barry K6RM

I bet this grid square format is the issue. I upload from DXKeeper-> ClubLog -> LOTW. I changed the grid to 4 characters in ClubLog but I bet the ARRL certificate has 6 characters and that is what is screwing this all up. I'll try and make the changes in TQSL and then upload the ADI directly to LOTW and see if that fixes it. Jeesh... You'd think the ARRL would have software to omit the last 2 (unnecessary) letters of the grid automatically, or at least not allow a 6 letter grid designation to avoid issues like this. Funny though.... The 6m contacts appear just fine. It's just the satellite ones that are not showing under the awards. I didn't even get error messages in the upload, which would have helped track the root cause.
Thanks for the feedback. Mike, AA9VI

It's working as expected now and it WAS the 6 character grid square issue. I changed it in TQSL from EN52wc to EN52 and all is well. Thanks! Time to chase more grids!

The correct answer would have been to set up your VUCC rules (on the LOTW site) to support both the 4 digit and your 6 digit, and any other 4 or 6 digit grids in your VUCC that you operate from. Some of the advice in the thread above is completely wrong.

Hi Mike,
I think there are some issues with the entries at HQ. Quite a while back, I submitted Satellite VUCC and have about 50 QSO's entered with the grid area "OM", which I believe is in or around China. There is no way I could have those grid QSO's from stateside using a LEO bird and I know that was not on the entry sheet. BTW, they've never been corrected.

Mark,
In my first post I stated "There is no way I could have those grid QSO's from stateside using a LEO bird and "_I know that was not on the entry sheet."_
What I submitted on my entry sheet was correct as I was, and still am, familiar with how the grid system works. It was entered incorrectly at the VUCC desk. How is that "on me"? LoTW can't be corrected from the outside (the user), me, in this case, only authorized personnel (the administrator) can make such changes. I had contacted the VUCC desk twice after seeing their mistake and the response was high volume and we don't have your submission forms.
The only "mistake" I made was not making a copy of my submission forms since I figured it was so easy nobody could mess it up. I've submitted over 20 submissions without a problem, but I guess there is always a first time.
This was quite a few years ago, maybe 8 or 9, and hopefully things have improved.

Hi Mike, I think there are some issues with the entries at HQ. 73, Jeff WB3JFS On 9/6/2022 8:28 AM, Mike Swiatkowski wrote: > I'm having trouble getting my satellite log to show up in the LOTW > VUCC Satellite section.
