Will a LabJack model u3-lv with daughter board work with Satpc32?

I thought SatPC32 was written for Windows Vista or Windows 7, 8 or 10 (32- and 64-bit) ...

I don't believe it will work correctly. This page might help https://labjack.com/products/comparison-table I use the U12 with SatPC32 (Windows 10, Vista, 8) and it works great. The U3-HV would also work but take a look at what the analog input range specs are. The U3-HV and U12 are good for +/-10V but the U3-LV is good for +/-2.4V. I have the Yaesu G-5400B and the azimuth and elevation pots use 0 to 5V, so you would be overduty for the U3-LV. I suppose if you built up some sort of voltage divider circuit or readjusted the pots on the control box to make sure the analog input voltage was within range, then it might work. But who knows what voltage drop you would get once you hooked up the rotor control cables. Short runs, maybe. Not so sure for long runs. Good luck. 73,Charlie Sufana AJ9NOne of the ARISS mentors In a message dated 2021-11-23 03:51:54 Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: I thought SatPC32 was written for Windows Vista or Windows 7, 8 or 10 (32- and 64-bit) ... Nick,
SatPC32 works with the Labjack U12 and the U3 (I have both controllers). Please, read the "Hints[Rotor] for .... Labjack_U3" which can be opened from the SatPC32 menu "?".
It is important to reduce the maximum control voltages for az and el at the control box to 3.3 V (normally 5 - 6 V) because the U3 handles only voltages up to 3.6 V.
I don't know what you mean with "daughter board". I suppose you mean the necessary buffer interface (piggy back) which is necessary to protect the U3. I use a homebuildt interface. There is a foto and a schematic diagram on my website, Engl. page Downloads, fig. IV 11 and http://www.dk1tb.de/u3upiggyback.JPG
Charlie and Clint, thank you for also answering Nick's mail.
