Both space station crews are observing April 12, an important space
anniversary. On this day in 1961, cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the
first human launched into space. The space shuttle also launched for the
first time on this day in 1981. Previous International Space Station
cosmonauts sent their best wishes to all onboard the station from Moscow.

In addition to continuing their handover activities, the outgoing
Expedition 14 crew members are resizing and checking their U.S.
spacesuits and performing their daily exercise routine. The Expedition
15 crew is still familiarizing itself with station operations and
procedures.
The ARISS contact between the tiny Salt Creek Primary School on the SE
coast of South Australia and the ISS went well . The little school
boasts a population of 22 students and 3 staff.
. Suni Williams answered 16 questions that the students put to her and
passed on greetings from the Russian crew members as well. The contact
was through W6SRJ in Santa Rosa CA. with Bill KH6GJV handling the
telebridge.
Full report later.

Voice frequencies for ISS. Using same band Doppler shifts at "ground station", ISS can not change for Doppler.

Hello All,
I just received a nice audio recording from Scott WA6LIE.
Charles made random contacts above USA with several amateurs.
He said a few intresting words to Scott.
Charles said: I think amateur radio was the begining of the internet!
And its still alive, I never thought I would do neither amateur radio or
Space flights but both of them are lot of fun.
Well I just want to congratulate the community for the great job they are doiing
in performing the charter as we learned about it, and thank everbody to help me getting
to the community helping me along guys, its not easy for me and I do the best I can,
so thanks a lot guys and I hope I can talk as many people as possible.

Greetings from n2oeq, long island new york
Last night was ideal for viewing the ISS after sunset in the southeast
sky. Pass times are ideal now for the viewing of the ISS in the lower 48.
I havent seen the ISS for a number of years. Now, with the extra solar
panels and trusses, it is much brighter than before. It was brighter
than a planet or star or airplane.
Check your home or online tracking program for visible passes around the
states. Truly impressive sight.
73, pat n2oeq
Generally , passes from about an hour to hour and a half after sunset
are best for viewing.
Hi all,
Just wondering if the automatic daily delivery of ISS keps will ever be reinstated. I haven't received them for quite a few months.

The Expedition 14 crew members continue their maintenance tasks and
exercise activities. The three cosmonauts onboard the station –
Expedition 15 Commander Fyodor Yurchikhin, Expedition 15 Flight Engineer
Oleg Kotov and Expedition 14 Flight Engineer Mikhail Tyurin – will be
working together as Expedition 14 hands over control of the station to
Expedition 15.
Since the first station element, the Zarya cargo module, was launched,
the International Space Station has orbited the Earth 48,000 times. This
is the equivalent of traveling 1.26 billion miles or traveling to Mars
and back 20 time
