All, I'm speaking for myself here but I hope some of the sentiments expressed below will be felt by you all. I'm sure when Richard leaves for home on the 23rd it will be too soon for many Amateurs around the world who have enjoyed his boundless exuberance during his stay on the ISS. Richard's (and the support teams) contribution has been immense. His QSOs have been carried out succinctly and with professionalism, his voice filled with contagious enthusiasm. The SSTV has been a triumph again due to the unstinting dedication of Richard and his support team. As one of those who enjoyed the privilege of a QSO with Richard and the receipt of some 40+ SSTV pictures I would like to publicly thank him and the team for what has been a superbly enjoyable period of unprecedented activity. Heard Richard calling to groundstation RK3DZB in Russia. there seems to be a problem with audio on a kenwood on 147channel.... He asked to transmit something although there is no audio regardless the squelch setting. he said maybe the datalink is working ....without the audio. someone need the soundfile? grtz Ward & Patricia, ON4CCM & ON4CCL

G'day Roger MMSSTV works for me on my Windows lappy too. Haven't tried to run it under Wine on Linux. Sort of defeats the purpose, and I'm surely not going to shell out for another WinXP license. Actually, I think I have a soundcard setup problem with qsstv. As soon as I take the line out connector out it all comes good??? Richard was active again Oct 20 at 1210 UTC over the US! I was one of the lucky ones this time using our club call N4ISS. The first time he had my call wrong (N4IIS) I corrected and I told him we operated the special event for the manning of the ISS and then thanked him for speaking to all of us. When I unkeyed the mic he was already speaking to the next station. That will teach me for being long winded!!! I was lucky enough to have a second chance and have him QSL my call correctly!
