An International Space Station Expedition 16 ARISS school contact has been planned with participants at the Central Middle School West Parsippany, New Jersey USA on 14 April. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 17:03 UTC. The contact will be a direct between stations NA1SS and N2XJ. The contact should be audible over most of the Eastern USA. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The participants are expected to conduct the conversation in English. The Parsippany Troy-Hills Township School District is the largest school district in Morris County, New Jersey totaling over 7000 students. The district encompasses ten elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. It is a suburban residential community covering 23.89 square miles centrally located in Morris County. Central Middle School is the oldest school in Parsippany, with the original structure dating back to 1928. Central presently has a student population of 800 students which include families who speak Spanish, Mandarin, Gujarati, Farsi, Russian and others. Garrett Reisman attended Central Middle School from 1981 to 1982. Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows: 1. Do you wear a space suit during liftoff, and if so - why? 2. If you could bring anything from space back to earth, what would it be and why? 3. How would you evacuate the space station if there was a problem? 4. What kind of research is being performed during your assignment? 5. Who or what inspired you to become an astronaut? 6. Is the ISS stationary or does it revolve around the earth? 7. Does a regular watch tell the same time in space as it would on earth? 8. Does working in low gravity bring fatigue faster or slower than it would on earth? 9. Is it difficult sleeping with zero gravity? 10. What is your main job as an astronaut? 11. What do you most enjoy doing while you are on the ISS? 12. What foods do you like most while you are aboard the ISS? 13. What does Earth look like from space? Can you see cities and rivers? 14. What would you do if someone got sick on the mission? 15. How do you brush your teeth and take a bath on the ISS? 16. What special fitness training is necessary when preparing for a mission? 17. Does working in low gravity bring fatigue faster or slower than it would on earth? 18. Since there is no weight in space, is there friction? An International Space Station visiting crew ARISS school contact has been planned with participants at the National Science Museum of Korea, Daejon, Republic of Korea on 18 April. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 01:35 UTC. The contact will be a direct between stations HL0ARISS and HL0HQSC. The contact should be audible over most of Korea and parts of Eastern Asia. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The participants are expected to conduct the conversation in Korean. The National Science Museum, as an umbrella organization of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, is open to anyone and anytime to present the interesting, latest information, science and technology policies and achievements of scientific R&D. An International Space Station visiting crew ARISS school contact has been planned with participants at the Han Gwang Boys & Girls High School in Pyeong Taek City, Gyeong Gi Province, Republic of Korea on 13 April. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 10:57 UTC. The contact will be a direct between stations HL0ARISS and HL0HQSC. The contact should be audible over most of Korea and parts of Eastern Asia. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The participants are expected to conduct the conversation in Korean. Han-Gwang school was founded in Pyeong-taek city in 1955 by a christian. Now it consists of 4 schools under the same name, Han-Gwang (boys' junior & senior high school and girls' junior & senior high school). Four Schools have about 250 teachers and about 5,000 students. Especially it has one Bible class a week and one worship service where every student takes part in it every Monday. Han-Gwang school has an amateur radio club station, DSØIC. It is the largest school club station in Korea. There are about 150 operators (about 100 students and 50 teachers) in the station. We have VHF/HF all bands and all modes of transceiver and 15 kinds of antenna system. We have won many kinds of awards and prizes of authority. In addition, a lot of amateur radio operators have been produced through our club station. Participants will ask as many of the following questions (Translated) as time allows: 1. (What is your feeling of a state of zero gravity? Do you have any inconvenience of your activities? ) 2. (How did you feel when you enter into the space? ) 3. (How many hours do you sleep? Is your sleeping place comfortable?) 4. (There might be a lot of pieces of the broken satellites or meteorites in the space. How do you deal with the dangers of them?) 5. (How many chambers do you have in the ISS and what are their purposes?) 6. (When do you think Korea will have another chance that the next Korean astronaut can go into the space?) 7. (What is the most exciting thing you have ever experienced in the space station?) 8. (What is the most important thing which the students should learn to be an astronaut?) 9. (How about your impressions about the communications with Korean teenagers through amateur radio?) 10. (Can you see any structures on the earth from the outer space?) 11. (Can you use cellular phone or telephone in the ISS?) 12. (What kind of work are you going to do in Russia after completing the space mission?) 13. (When will you come back to Korea? An International Space Station Expedition 16 ARISS school contact has been planned with participants at the Osnovna skola Pazin, Pazin, Croatia on 07 April. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 14:47 UTC. The contact will be a direct between stations OR4ISS and 9A7P. The contact should be audible over most of Europe. Interested parties are invited to listen in on the 145.80 MHz downlink. The participants are expected to conduct the conversation in English. Audio from the QSO is planned to be fed into the EchoLink *AMSAT* (101 377) and *JK1ZRW* (277 208) servers during the contact. Elementary school Vladimir Nazor from Pazin is a school with more than hundred years tradition, founded in 1890. It is one of the highest rated schools in this part of the country, with more than 1500 pupils. Robotics, electronics and ham radio activities are more popular every day, with pupils achieving awards in national competitions. Astronomy is one of the latest after-school activities, which combined with existing ham radio activities resulted in applying for the ISS school contact. Participants will ask as many of the following questions as time allows: 1. When you were in space for the first time, how old were you? 2. How long does it take from Earth to ISS? 3. Were you afraid of going to ISS? 4. What is the most frightening in space? 5. Is any plant or vegetable planted in space? 6. Do you have any animals abroad ISS? 7. Have you seen any aliens? 8. What do you drink and eat? 9. Does food spoil faster or slower? 10. Is it boring in space sometimes? 11. Is there any space sport? 12. Do you listen to any radio or music? 13. Do you play any instruments on the station? 14. Do you play any social games? 15. Is it hard getting used to life in space? 16. How do you shower? 17. What thing do you miss the most in space? 18. Which is the biggest man-made building or construction in space? 19. Do you see satellites from ISS? 20. What is Space shuttle's maximum speed? 21. What is the ISS fuel consumption? 22. What do you think about ARISS school contacts? 23. Are your experiments dangerous? 24. Did you ever see a vulcano eruption from space?
